In Witchcraft, truly apparent psychic ability is a gift and people with the gift are fully aware of it without training, although training is very important for control. What Going Within achieves is the development of psychic capacity to a (non-gift) level that opens the mind to enable it to access a higher level of awareness, but within the scope of the innate capacity of the individual. This opens the door to understand spirituality in an internal manner, rather than an intellectual understanding. This capacity enables the individual to access the spirits far easier and more effectively, IF ONE WANTS TO. Buddhists have no interest in contacting spirits (not sure Buddhists believe in spirits but assume they do), so their experience is (by their desire and will) more universal in scope.
