Are you looking for a way to stretch your food budget now that we are in recession and money is tight?  That's a dumb question.  Of course you are everyone is.  Well here's a great idea that is being brought back from the past.

It used to be that anyone with access to even a small plot of land had a garden to help stretch the amount of money they spent on food.  There is no reason we can't get back into the mind set of growing some of our own healthy veggies and herbs.  If you haven't had home grown tomatoes you don't know what you are missing.

A great way to grow some plants is in a small greenhouse.  This allows you to plant much earlier in the spring and harvest till late in the fall.  If you have access to any piece of ground at all plant some seeds and watch the magic happen. There are a number of different ways in which the small greenhouse is going to prove to be a very handy addition to the gardening arsenal.

If ever a plant is doing poorly and needs a controlled environment, having the option of potting it up and moving into the greenhouse is a great opportunity to give it some intensive treatment. being able to control the environment is vitally important. A plant that is doing poorly will appreciate the added food that is introduced to it as well as the temperature and humidity control that the greenhouse affords.

Humidity is controlled within the greenhouse with a simple misting system and operating this system regularly will ensure the plants never have a chance to dry out. There is no doubt that you entire garden could benefit simply by keeping a well maintained greenhouse on the property.
