Never, ever, EVER give into your children's demands without thinking it through. My kids have been pestering me for what feels like a life time to get them a bunk bed. There already at an age where I could see this probably wasn't a smart purchase. One's ten and the other is eight and it was clear from the get go that it wouldn't be long before they had out grown the joys of a white bunk bed and would, furthermore, want not only their own bed but their own rooms before long.
Well I didn't listen to my head, they wore me down and I, like the fool I am, relented. What I didn't foresee was that I would spend 400 bucks on this bunk bed and they wouldn't even have the chance to get bored with it. Within two weeks, despite my strict instructions, they had decided that this bunk bed would make a great trampoline and only discovered it didn't when they crashed through the top bunk. Never give in to your children!
